Even though she'll chew on it and play with it when she's in a good mood, she still needs the real thing in order to calm down. I wonder, that plush breast they used for demonstrations during the breastfeeding clinic, do they sell those as a type of pacifier?Diana Mancusohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08325548074184305809noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19425334.post-1141263148953071772006-03-01T18:32:00.000-07:002006-03-01T18:32:00.000-07:00Congrats on your award!!!! None of my kids really wanted a pacifier. My last boy is finally getting off the bottle, though. Thank goodness. Each child got to choose their Christmas ribbon to tie it on the tree with. They are still hanging there every year. Now that the kids are in jr high, they're the ones to be a little embrassed now.Grammyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15223291565009895754noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19425334.post-1141244479554909322006-03-01T13:21:00.000-07:002006-03-01T13:21:00.000-07:00Better a pacifier than your boob. I'm up every single stinking night at least 3 maybe 4 times (do I sound bitter) to the sound of my 4 month old child moaning IN HIS SLEEP "eh eh eh eh eh" as he thrashes his head frantically back and forth trying to find his pacifier. I try to put the pacifier BACK in his mouth BEFORE he wakes up screaming. Fun times.

I'm not so worried about breaking him of the pacifier as I am of him learning how to stick it back in his own mouth so mommy can get a full night sleep. Whew. That was very cleansing.GiBeehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03717697386035335817noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19425334.post-1141240867510654302006-03-01T12:21:00.000-07:002006-03-01T12:21:00.000-07:00Poor thing (and I mean all of you:))! He had one in his mouth CONSTANTLY and was always waking up when it fell out at night. Grr.

When he started teething he wanted nothing to do with them. At all. I tried and tried and finally decided this would be easier than weaning him from it later. So yay, no paci baby here.

I know, you are jealous. (This became increasingly annoying after a report on the TODAY show that sleeping with paci's helps reduce the risk of SIDS.)

Anyhow, I'm sure he will wean himself from the paci when he is ready - which will surely be before he goes off to school.Goslynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00153864420303599725noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19425334.post-1141232749999780862006-03-01T10:05:00.000-07:002006-03-01T10:05:00.000-07:00Oh Man, Finn worships the same God!!!
