Toddler Math

Take one active, curious three year old. Add in two parents busy getting ready for church, plus a spray bottle full of water unnoticed in the toddler's hand. Leave said child unattended while said parents prepare for church. Notice it has become eerily quiet and race downstairs to see said toddler sitting with said water bottle in front of the open laptop computer. What do you have? One toddlerfied computer. Yes Camden, that dear, sweet boy, sprayed water all over the screen of the laptop, which has consequently destroyed the laptop screen. So I am stuck with our old, SLOW PC and may be a bit scarce. If you are here from NCLM, I will be catching up with you soon!

Oops. Well, at least he was trying to clean up. My brother once went through a super large box of baby wipes (200) to clean one pane of a window when he was 18 months old.

yes - something is wrong when a toddler is quiet too long - that's bad news about your laptop.

hi Rachelle
I'm here from NaComLeavCom
thanks for the warning... I have twin boys 23months old and they are wrecking everything at the moment too.

Quiet when the kids are asleep is bliss, quiet when the kids are awake usually means your going to be cleaning up some mess...or end up with a destroyed laptop screen. I hope it can be fixed or replaced soon!

Oh no!!! I know that "too quiet" feeling very well. My son is only 3 months, so not so much with him -- but with our DOG. My stomach drops when I look around and realize she is not at my feet. That surely means there is a binky being destroyed somewhere in the house.

OH NO! I'm so sorry. I hate it when I find little "treasures" like that as a Mom.

Hopefully when it dries out it will work again! Leave it to dry for at least 3 days and try again, just water should evaporate off, and providing the electrics haven't already fried you might get it to work again!

NCLM OUCH!! Silence is Golden, unless you have a toddler -- then it's deadly! :)

"Toddlerfied" is the best word ever. Hope your laptop dried out and came back to life. I wish I could say that my last laptop was toddlerfied, but alas, I alone was responsible for the glass of soda upended in the keyboard.

I hope your computer can be fixed. I can completely relate to the too quiet thing with my dog. I know that if she's too quiet then she's getting into mischief. But at least you know he was trying to help rather than destroy ;-)
