These are Camden's new books. I just got them this last week. There are 24 in all. The best part? They cost me nothing! My students place book orders, I get bonus points, and I used some of those points to get these books. I LOVE getting books for Cam. You can count on a new children's book thread here in a few weeks.
And so you know, my students didn't get cheated by me using some bonus points to get books for Cam. These are new books I got for my classroom library. I love books!
And one last not so happy picture . . .
These are the papers I have left to grade for the year - the every day assignments we do. I haven't been keeping up on these because I was working on their big projects (and blogging of course - a girl has priorities!). I hope to have these done and in the computer by this time tomorrow. And then I will be done with grading for the 2005-2006 school year!

Good luck getting everything done! Those book orders are one of the biggest things I miss about teaching - no joke.
Ditto on above. I hope you can get everything done fast and slip into summer bliss and time with your baby and hubby. I just love new books! The way they smell and sound. It is wonderful. When we finally get the house of my dreams, I want a library for books.:)
Woohoo for new books!! Thats awesome :)
And a bigger WOOHOOO!! for those big projects being graded, thats awesome!
Only one more big grading project and you are done, woot!
Congrats on getting your big projects done. I think I earn a lot of new books for my kid's teachers. I am just giddy over those book orders! And the school book fairs -- be still my heart!
Love your blog.
yay, yay, yay and yay this time tomorrow!
Okay so reading your blog today made me long for days gone by .. . oh how I miss those free books from bonus points and a classroom library. However, there was little sorrow over being behind in grading. That's the worst. Hopefully you get it all done quickly and can enjoy your summer with the fam.
Yikes, that's a lot of work! I finally did my homework for you too. You're one tough cookie...
Yay for the end of the year stuff! A teacher's work will SOON be done! :)
Yay for being almost done! And those books make teaching look way fun!
Glad you got the big project done, but it looks like you have some fun work to do today! At least it's almost summer, eh?
I love books, too, and so do my kids. Their bookshelf is overflowing with books on top of books, on the side of the bookshelf, etc...I think they need a bigger one.
yay for almost being done with school. Tomorrow is our last day of school, and then all heck breaks loose at my house. lol!
Enjoy your summer--
That looks like a lot of work! I'm glad the year is almost done, even though I haven't been in school for awhile, it was always my favorite time of year!
Great pictures! Especially the work alread completed and your little guy's new books. I love getting new books too.
Aaaaa - one of the things I defintely do NOT miss about teaching - grading projects! :)
Yay for finishing grading. Yay for summer holidays! I SO didn't appreciate those when I had em'!
PHEW...It's almost done!!! Good job Rachelle. I love your book collection for Cam. I have collected books since before I had kids. I worked at a children's museum that focused on literacy. I heart BOOKS!!!!!
When does school get out for you? We're done on the 6th- YAY. I'm caught up-- but have gone nuerotic. LOL. ;) Summer is almost here-- oh and I love books as well!
YAY!!! I finally figured out why I could never comment on your blog---my computer was blogging the popup! (Thank to ABCMomma for figuring that out!!)
I bet you're looking forward to your summer with Cam!
I bet you are really anxious for summer! Good luck with the rest of your grading and work you have left to do.
Yay on getting lots of new fun books for Cam and your classroom!
Wow, you are definitely one busy lady! But look at the stash of new books. A women after my own heart..LOL.
I love books too! I'm a sucker for book orders.
I love books!!!
And seeing your stack of grading made me miss teaching, NOT!
Summer's almost here...you can make it.
I really miss those Scholastic Bonus Points, since I quit teaching. You can never own enough books! Good luck with the final grading. (That was the part of teaching that I didn't love quite as much!)
Oooh,, I'm totally jealous of the books, young and old.
The grading papers thing? Suck-y!!!
Great pictures! Especially of the books. I love books too. Especially the "if you give a Pig a Pancake" series. Those are classic.
My boy loves trains too! Even with 3 sisters he has found his masculine side.
Ahhhh, finishing with grading a project. What a sense of accomplishment! Not that I typically mark projects as hefty as those. I can definitely say that though I'm looking forward to getting back to work, I could really do without the endless marking.
