A few pictures that make me happy

This is what I have been working on for the past week. These are my students autobiographical writing portfolio's. Also the inspiration for MLM (they have to write about some of the same topics I have already given you or will be giving you). The best part about those? They are all graded! Students turned them in a week ago today and now I have them all done and entered in the computer. Yay for big project being done!

These are Camden's new books. I just got them this last week. There are 24 in all. The best part? They cost me nothing! My students place book orders, I get bonus points, and I used some of those points to get these books. I LOVE getting books for Cam. You can count on a new children's book thread here in a few weeks.

And so you know, my students didn't get cheated by me using some bonus points to get books for Cam. These are new books I got for my classroom library. I love books!

And one last not so happy picture . . .

These are the papers I have left to grade for the year - the every day assignments we do. I haven't been keeping up on these because I was working on their big projects (and blogging of course - a girl has priorities!). I hope to have these done and in the computer by this time tomorrow. And then I will be done with grading for the 2005-2006 school year!

Good luck getting everything done! Those book orders are one of the biggest things I miss about teaching - no joke.

Ditto on above. I hope you can get everything done fast and slip into summer bliss and time with your baby and hubby. I just love new books! The way they smell and sound. It is wonderful. When we finally get the house of my dreams, I want a library for books.:)

Okay so reading your blog today made me long for days gone by .. . oh how I miss those free books from bonus points and a classroom library. However, there was little sorrow over being behind in grading. That's the worst. Hopefully you get it all done quickly and can enjoy your summer with the fam.

Glad you got the big project done, but it looks like you have some fun work to do today! At least it's almost summer, eh?

I love books, too, and so do my kids. Their bookshelf is overflowing with books on top of books, on the side of the bookshelf, etc...I think they need a bigger one.

I really miss those Scholastic Bonus Points, since I quit teaching. You can never own enough books! Good luck with the final grading. (That was the part of teaching that I didn't love quite as much!)

Oooh,, I'm totally jealous of the books, young and old.

The grading papers thing? Suck-y!!!

Great pictures! Especially of the books. I love books too. Especially the "if you give a Pig a Pancake" series. Those are classic.

My boy loves trains too! Even with 3 sisters he has found his masculine side.

Ahhhh, finishing with grading a project. What a sense of accomplishment! Not that I typically mark projects as hefty as those. I can definitely say that though I'm looking forward to getting back to work, I could really do without the endless marking.
